I’ve been dying to see this film since I first saw the trailer, which promised lots of action, and lots of laughs. Overall, promise kept.
I’d never even heard of the comic strip this film was based on, but I was excited to hear about this project. I knew with incredible actors and actresses like Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, and Helen Mirren, it had to be good. The premise was great, as well, another promising sign.
The visuals were great, and the acting was superb, too. The screenplay did seem a little sketchy at first, but after a few minutes, things got going very well. There was a little of everything; action, suspense, romance, comedy, and everyone’s favorite: conspiracy.
Although the official length is only an hour and fifty-one minutes, it seemed much longer as you were watching it, but not too long that I was at any time bored. The score was good, but not outstanding.
Overall, I loved the film. I have no complaints except language. There were three or four uses of “strong language,” all of which were used by the “villains.” Despite that, I am actually thinking of seeing it again, in the theater!
